BLACK PEPPER

Black Pepper essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the seeds.

USES- Black Pepper oil may be used in aromatherapy for aching muscles, arthritis, chilblains, constipation, muscle cramps, poor circulation, sluggish digestion.

CAUTION- There are no special precautions when using Black Pepper oil

CHAMOMILE ROMAN DILUTE ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Chamomile is one of the oldest British medicinal and beauty herbs. Traditionally, it was said to ''cure all agues''

Roman Chamomile essential oil is rich in azulene which is a natural anti-inflammatory and healing agent. It has relaxing sedative benefits and smells of apples and straw.

In aromatherapy it is used for stress, sleeplessness, headaches, rashes, Insect bites, burns, cuts, toothache and menstrual or menopausal problems.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation compress. To relax after a hard day add ten drops of oil to a warm bath. Roman Chamomile, when diluted with a carrier oil, may be massaged in and used as a compress for headaches or menstrual problems. It is also an excellent household disinfectant.

BLEND WITH- Bergamot, cypress, jasmine, juniper, neroli, frankincense, clary sage, vetiver,
rosemary and ylang ylang.  

CAUTION- Chamomile essential oil is perfectly safe for home use as long as it is diluted before application.

CITRONELLA ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

 Citronella essential oil is obtained by steam distillation. Citronella oil has fresh, sweet, fruity/citrus aroma.

USES- In aromatherapy Citronella Essential Oil is used for excessive perspiration, fatigue, headache and oily skin.
It is also a very good insect repellant.

BLENDS WITH- Bergamot, cajeput, cedarwood, eucalyptus, geranium, lavender, lemon,
peppermint, rosemary, sage, tea tree, thyme.

CAUTION- Always dilute Citronella essential oil to 5% or less in a carrier oil before application to the skin. Avoid use during pregnancy.

CLARY SAGE ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Clary Sage essential oil is extracted from the flowering tops and leaves.

The essential, oil has a green, balsamic, aromatic smell and is mildly antiseptic, an uplifting tonic, warming and relaxing. In aromatherapy, Clary Sage essential oil is used for fatigue.

USES- Massage, baths. A few drops in the bath soothe bad moods, itchy skin and will leave you energised.
It is good for face, neck and scalp massages to help banish tension.

Blends with: juniper, bergamot, lavender, frankincense, coriander, cardamon, geranium, sandalwood, cedarwood, pine and jasmine.

CAUTION- Clary Sage Essential Oil is perfectly safe for home as long as it is well diluted before application.
However, do not use it during pregnancy.

 

CORIANDER SEED OIL

Coriander oil is extracted from Coriandrum Ativum of the Apiaceae family and is also known as Coriander Seed or Chinese parsley

The essential oil extracted from this ancient herb has a well deserved place in aromatherapy, as it helps to ease the mind and fight fatigue, while it warms and calms the digestive system, relieves rheumatism and arthritic pain, muscular spasms and detoxifies the body.

The annual or biennial plant is a native of Morocco and grows to about 1 metre in height. It has sparse, fine, feathery leaves and pink, white flowers, which are followed by green seeds. Native to Europe and Western Asia and is cultivated worldwide.

The seeds have been used for thousands of years by the Egyptians, as an aphrodisiac and by the Romans and Greeks to flavor their wines, while the Indians use it in their cooking.

Coriander oil has a sweet, spicy, warm smell, is nearly colorless to pale yellow and has a watery viscosity.

 

EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Eucalyptus Essential Oil is extracted from the twigs and leaves of the Blue Gum tree.

The essential oil has a distinctive, stimulating smell that clears the head and has been used in cough and cold remedies for decades.
It is a powerful antiseptic that kills airborne germs and has a cooling effect on skin.

In aromatherapy, Eucalyptus Essential Oil is an excellent decongestant for fever, flu, coughs, colds or sinus. It soothes muscular aches, sprains and pains and helps heal abrasions.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation, poultice.
A few drops in a dish of hot water on a radiator will disinfect a room and make breathing easier at night, or use it for a chest massage in a steam bath, or on a hot chest poultice.
Diluted, Eucalyptus Essential Oil may be massaged into aching muscles for quick relief.

BLENDS WITH- Rosemary, lavender, marjoram, pine, cedarwood, and lemon.

CAUTIONS- Eucalyptus Essential Oil is Perfectly safe for home use as long as it is diluted before application.

FENNEL ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Fennel Essential Oil is extracted by steam distillation of the ripe fruits of the plant. Its a sweet, spicy and lovely anise aroma.

PROPERTIES- Toning, cleansing, reduces cellulite, refreshing mouthwash.

USE- Traditionally, Fennel Essential oil has been used as an antiseptic, aphrodisiac, soothing agent, muscle relaxant, cellulite, bruising, obesity, sore gums, halitosis, nausea.

BLENDS WITH- Geranium, lavender, rose and sandalwood.

CAUTION- Always dilute Fennel Essential oil to 5% or less in a carrier oil. Avoid using during pregnancy or if you are epileptic. Dermal sensitizer
Do not use in instances of endometriosis, prostatic hyperplasia or eostrogen dependent cancers.

FRANKINCENSE DILUTE ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

This is a 5% dilution of the essential oil.

Frankincense Essential Oil is extracted from the gum resin of the tree.

Frankincense Dilute Essential Oil has a warm, rich smell with a tang of lemon and woody camphor. It is relaxing, uplifting calming and mildly antiseptic.

In aromatherapy it is excellent for tiredness, grumpiness, negative moods, lack of confidence and emotional turmoil.
It helps slow the breathing and has calming effect.

USES- Massage, inhalation. Add a few drops of Frankincense Essential Oil to a massage oil to warm, relax and restore an overworked or over-stressed body.
Massage on the scalp and temples to relieve tension headaches.
Inhale it directly or add it to a relaxing bath to remove stress and sweeten your mood.

BLENDS WITH- Sandalwood, pine, vetiver, geranium, lavender, neroli, orange, bergamot, and basil.

CAUTIONS- Frankincense Essential Oil is perfectly safe for home as long as it is diluted before application

GINGER ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Ginger Essential Oil is extracted from the dried root.

The pure essential oil has a lemony-pepper, Woody-spice smell and has warming, stimulating, astringent and antiseptic properties.

In aromatherapy, Ginger Essential Oil is good to boost the circulation, relieve a tight, chesty cough, stomach ache tight muscles, stiffness, or exhaustion.
The astringent and antiseptic actions make it effective to warm and freshen tired feet.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation, poultice.
Inhale it from a tissue to clear the head and energise the body, and use at in poultices for, stiff muscles, stomach ache or a cough.
For bath and massage, it is particularly effective in cold weather because of its warming effect.

BLENDS WITH- Sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, frankincense, cedarwood, coriander, rose, neroli, and orange.

 

CAUTION- Ginger Essential Oil is very potent so never apply it undiluted to skin and use it in moderation for both bath and massage.

HYSSOP ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Hyssop Essential Oil is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves and flowers of the plant.

The pure essential oil is clear, colourless and its'' aroma is sweet , fresh and herby.

USES- Hyssop Essential Oil is used for sore throats, coughing. anxiety, Asthma, Bronchitis, bruises, Dermatitis, Eczema, fatigue, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, poor circulation, respiratory ailments, Rheumatism, stress.

 BLENDS WITH- Lavender, bay, geranium, clary sage, rosemary, and all citrus oils.

CAUTION- Always dilute Hyssop Essential Oil to 5% or less in a carrier oil.
Hyssop is moderately toxic and neurotoxic.
Avoid in epilepsy, fever or during pregnancy.
Should not be used on children

JASMINE DILUTE ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Jasmine oil is extracted from the flowers.  This is a 5% dilution.

It has a rich, sweet scent.

SOME TRADITIONAL USES- To lift melancholy, for muscular spasm, painful periods and labour pains, to relieve anxiety and nervous exhaustion, an aphrodisiac

EMOTIONAL PROFILE- To relieve repressed feelings, bitter jealously, low self-esteem, guilt, emotional abuse.

BLENDS WITH- Bergamot, clary sage, frankincense, geranium, lavender, orange, mandarin, neroli, palmarosa, rose, rosewood, sandalwood, ylang ylang.

JUNIPER ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Juniper Essential Oil is extracted from the fresh berries of the evergreen juniper tree.

Juniper essential oil smells like pine but with a hot, peppery edge.

It is diuretic, antiseptic, uplifting but relaxing, and excellent for aches and pain.

In aromatherapy, Juniper essential oil is best for menstrual problems, fluid retention, cramps, slow circulation and cellulite.
It also has a toning effect on greasy skins or for acne, and a calming effect for the over-stressed.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation, compress, poultice.
Diluted with a carrier oil, Juniper Essential Oil is an ideal massage for rheumatism, aching joints or muscles or any PMT/menstrual problems.
Add a few drops to the bath for a relaxing soak that will lift spirits. It is also a good germ-killer to burn in a sick room.

BLENDS WITH: Vetiver, Sandalwood, Cederwood, Cypress, Clary Sage, Pine, Lavender, Roaemary, Benzoin, Geranium, and Citrus oils.

CAUTION- Juniper Essential oil is perfectly safe for home use if well diluted but should never be used during pregnancy as it can trigger labour.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Lavender Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves of the evergreen shrub.

The essential oil is one of the most commonly used.
It is both relaxing and stimulating, a powerful antiseptic and healer, and it calms, refreshes, invigorates and lifts the spirits.

In aromatherapy Lavender Essential Oil is excellent for tension, tiredness or depression, skin problems and aches or pains.
Because it is so gentle, it may be applied undiluted to burnt skin or insect bites and is safe to use during pregnancy.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation, poultice, compress.
A few drops in a hot bath will make you feel pleasantly drowsy and relieve anxiety.
In a cool bath, Lavender essential oil will refresh and energise.
Inhale a few drops from a tissue to clear the head and lift the spirits. In massage, it is good for tense muscles or mental fatigue.

BLENDS WITH- Most oils including citrus, florals, cedarwood, clove, clary sage, pine, geranium, vetiver, and patchouli.

CAUTION- Lavender essential oil is perfectly safe for home use.

LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Lemon Essential Oil is extracted from the fresh rind of the fruit from the citrus tree. 

Pure Lemon essential oil has a tangy, fresh, citrus smell and is stimulating, invigorating, astringent, deodorising, diuretic and antiseptic.

In aromatherapy Lemon essential oil is useful for clearing the head, whether you have a cold or are mentally exhausted, for energising an aching body, for boosting circulation, treating cellulite or warming hands and feet.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation, poultice. A few drops in a hot bath on a cold night will boost your circulation.
Use Lemon Essential Oil by inhaling it from a tissue to counter tiredness or to relieve the symptoms of a cold.
Use it on a cloth to disinfect or deodorise around the house or in a sickroom.

BLENDS WITH- Lavender, neroli, juniper, eucalyptus, geranium, fennel, chamomile, frankincense, sandalwood, rose and ylang ylang.

 

CAUTION- Lemon essential oil should be used in moderation as it may irritate skin, especially if it is exposed to sunshine after application.
Store in a cool dark place.

LEMON TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL l0ml

Lemon Tea Tree Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves & twigs.

PROPERTIES- Antiseptic, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial.

USES- Lemon Tea Tree Essential Oil has similar properties to Tea Tree oil, but has a wider bactericidal spectrum and fungicidal action when used in conjunction with Tea Tree.
Good for the immune system (external application only).
Useful for dandruff, insect bites, oily skin.
Vaporise to help eliminate airborne bacteria and viruses.

BLENDS WITH: Lavender, Clary Sage, Rosemary, Pine, Geranium, Majoram, Nutmeg and Clove.

CAUTION- Lemon Tea Tree Essential Oil should always be diluted to 5% or less in a carrier oil before being applied to the skin

LIME ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Lime Essential Oil is extracted from the peel of the unripe citrus fruit Limes.

Pure Lime Essential Oil has a sharp, sweet citrus peel smell and is antiseptic, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and is a good warming stimulant and tonic.

In aromatherapy it is useful for greasy skin, varicose veins, arthritis, rheumatism, poor circulation, cellulite, breathing problems, colds, flu, fever or infection

USES- Massage, bath, inhalation, poultice.
It is good for a leg, anti-cellulite or warming friction massage, or diluted and rubbed into the chest for colds, or as an astringent facial.
Lime Essential Oil makes an excellent warming bath in winter, or a refreshing energising bath in summer.
It can be applied as a poultice for fever or inhaled for any breathing problems or congestion.

CAUTION- Lime essential oil should be used in moderation as it may irritate skin, especially if it is exposed to sunshine after application.
Store in a cool dark place.

MELISSA BLEND ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Melissa Blend is made up of fractions taken from other oils including Lemongrass and Citronella to give a close approximation to the composition of the whole oil. The oil has a sharp, floral, lemon flavour and aroma.

In aromatherapy, it is used for managing depression and stress.

USES- Soothing but uplifting effect on mind and body. Comforting oil during the cold season. Massage, baths. Good for bee stings.

BLEND WITH: Lavender, Geranium, Citrus oils, and other Floral oils.

CAUTION- Melissa Blend may cause skin irritation and should be diluted to 5% or less for massaging. Use only 3 drops in a bath.

MYRRH ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Pure Myrrh essential oil has a rich, spicy, camphor-like smell. It is warming, healing, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory.

In aromatherapy, it is used congestion, poor circulation, arthritis and skin conditions.

USES- Massage, baths inhalation.
A few drops on a tissue clears the head. When diluted with carrier oil, Myrrh Essential Oil can be used to warm and soothe tired muscles.
A few drops in a warm bath helps relieve stress.

BLENDS WITH- Frankincense, sandalwood, cypress, juniper, geranium, patchouli, lavender, and pine.

CAUTION- Myrrh Essential Oil is safe to use when diluted to 5% or less in a carrier oil.
Avoid during pregnancy.

Myrrh Essential Oil is extracted from resin collected from the stem and shoots of the tree.

PATCHOULI ESSENTIAL OIL

The therapeutic properties of patchouli oil are antidepressant, antiphlogistic, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, cicatrisant, cytophylactic, deodorant, diuretic, febrifuge, fungicide, insecticide, sedative and tonic.

Patchouli oil has a grounding and balancing effect on the emotions and banishes lethargy, while sharpening the wits, fighting depression and anxiety. It is also said to create an amorous atmosphere.

It is effective for fungal and bacterial infection and is of great help for insect bites. It could also be used as an insect repellant and is also used as a support for dealing with any substance addiction.

With its excellent diuretic properties, it is effective in fighting water retention and to break up cellulite, easing constipation and helping to reduce overweight.

Furthermore, it has a great deodorizing action, and helps when feeling hot and bothered, while cooling down inflammations and assisting with wound healing.

On the skin, this oil is one of the most active and is a superb tissue regenerator, which helps to stimulate the growth of new skin cells. In wound healing, it not only promotes faster healing, but also helps to prevent ugly scarring when the wound heals.

Patchouli oil is very effective in sorting out rough, cracked and overly dehydrated skin and is used to treat acne, acne, eczema, sores, ulcers, any fungal infections, as well as scalp disorders.

It is non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing, but the smell of patchouli oil may be a little persistent for some people and large doses may cause loss of appetite in some individuals.

PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Peppermint Essential Oil is extracted from the fresh or semi-dried leaves and flowers of the herb.

Pure Peppermint essential oil is nearly one third menthol, which is why it invigorates, clears the head, stimulates and is soothing, refreshing and cooling.

In aromatherapy, peppermint Essential Oil is excellent for headaches, mental fatigue, muscular pain, varicose veins, sunburn, insect bites, nausea, indigestion, PMT, or menopausal hot flushes.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation, compress. A few drops on a tissue can, clear your head, whether you''re suffering from a cold or mental fatigue, and relieve headaches or any nausea, from travel to morning sickness. Four drops in a basin will refresh tired feet. Use sparingly for massage or in the bath.

BLENDS WITH- Rosemary, eucalyptus, lemon, marjoram, and lavender.

CAUTION- Peppermint essential oil is very potent, so never apply undiluted to skin, or just before going to sleep. Always use in moderation.

SCOTTS PINE ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Although pine oil can cause allergic reactions, it is very useful to relieve mental, physical and sexual fatigue, while having a cleansing and clearing effect on a room. Even though it can be used in cystitis, hepatitis and prostate problems, as well as to improve circulation and to relieve rheumatism, gout, sciatica and arthritis, it should be done so with care due to the sensitizing nature of this oil.

Although pine and pine needle oil is considered non-toxic and non-irritant in low dosage it should still be used with care on the skin, since it can cause irritation in high dosage and may sensitize the skin as well. The oil from the dwarf pine (Pinus mugo. var. pumilio) is a dermal irritant and a sensitizing agent. Should you be prone to allergic skin reactions or are pregnant - rather give this oil a miss

The therapeutic properties of pine oil are antimicrobial, antineuralgic, antirheumatic, antiseptic, antiviral, bactericidal, balsamic, cholagogue, deodorant, diuretic, expectorant, hypertensive, insecticidal, restorative, rubefacient, adrenal cortex stimulant as well as stimulant to the circulation and nervous system.

ROSE DILUTE ESSENTIAL OIL dilute 10ml

This oil is a 5% dilution. 

Rose is extracted from the rose flower.

It has a rich rosy fragrance.

 USES- For brighter mood, menopause, to help reduce wrinkles, for calming and reducing nervous tension, to promote restful sleep, as an aphrodisiac.

EMOTIONAL PROFILE- For grief, fears of loving and being loved, sexuality, jealously, self-destruction, vengeance and bitterness.

BLENDS WITH- Geranium, bergamot, lavender, clary sage, sandalwood and patchouli.

 

ROSEMARY ESSENTIAL OIL10ml

Rosemary Essential Oil is extracted from the flowering tops of the shrubby evergreen bush.

Pure Rosemary essential oil has a fresh, green woody, mint smell and is antiseptic, stimulating. astringent, invigorating and cleansing.

In aromatherapy, it is used for headaches, breathing problems fluid retention, poor circulation or dandruff.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation.
It is particularly useful as a warming body massage for muscular aches, or as a head and scalp massage for greasiness, lack of concentration or headaches.
Add Rosemary Essential Oil to the bath as a pick-me-up for mental or physical tiredness and inhale it for coughs, bronchitis and other breathing problems.

BLENDS WITH- Frankincense, cedarwood, peppermint, basil, pine, citronella and lavender.

CAUTION- Rosemary essential oil is perfectly safe for home use as long as it is well diluted before application.
However, do not use it during pregnancy or if you have epilepsy (or if you are giving a massage to someone suffering from the condition).

 

 

SAGE ESSENTIAL OIL10ml

Obtained by steam distillation of the fresh leaves.


USES- Sage Essential Oil may be used in moderation for acne, oily skin, dandruff, dermatitis, eczema, sores, cuts, general skin & hair care.

Also for asthma, colds, coughs, fevers, influenza, excessive sweating, exhaustion, hair loss, headaches, jaundice, laryngitis, liver congestion, muscular aches & pains, nervous exhaustion, painful menstruation, sterility and stress-related conditions.

PROPERTIES- Sage Essential Oil has been as an antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, carminative, deodorant, depurative, digestive, emmenagogue, expectorant, febrifuge, hypotensive, nervine, stimulant, stomachic, tonic.

CAUTION- For EXTERNAL USE ONLY and it should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil before applying to the skin.
Do not use on children or pets. Do not use if pregnant or with high blood pressure or epilepsy.

SANDALWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Sandalwood is extracted by water or steam distillation from  the Sandalwood Tree.

USED FOR: Dehraydrated skin, oily skins, acne, powerful antiseptic, soothing, relieves itches, relieves rashes, dry persistant couhs, irritating coughs, chronic bronchitis, sooths sore throats, diarrhoea and nausea. 

BLENDS WITH: Rose, Clove, Lavender, Black Pepper, Bergamont, Rosewood, Geranium, Benzoin, Vetivert, Patchouli, Myrrh and Jasmine.

CAUTION: Not to be applied directly to the skin only after diluted with a base oil.Not to be used internally.Store out of reach of children.

TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Tea Tree Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves and twigs of the shrub.

Tea Tree essential oil has as spicy, hot nutmeg-like, medicinal smell.
It is a powerful, non-irritating antiseptic that kills bacteria, fungi and virus 12 times as effectively as carbolic.

In aromatherapy, it is used for cuts, burns, acne, stings, blisters, herpes and nappy rash. It is very effective in treating yeast and fungal infections.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation, poultice. Diluted one part essential oil to nine parts carrier oil, it makes an instant home first-aid kit.
Apply to cuts, burns, spots, stings and other irritations. Add Tea Tree Essential Oil to the bath or use as a douche for viral or fungal infections.

BLENDS WITH- Sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, frankincense, cedarwood, coriander, rose, neroli, and orange.

CAUTION- Tea tree essential oil is perfectly safe for home use as long as it is diluted before application.

YLANG YLANG ESSENTIAL OIL 10ml

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is extracted from the freshly picked flower of the tropical tree.

Since the flower has so sensual a fragrance, it has always been used to symbolise love.

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil has a sweet potent floral smell, reminiscent of hyacinth or narcissus. It is aromatic, hypnotic, relaxing and effects the mind and emotions more than the body. It also is rejuvenating for skin and hair.

In aromatherapy, it is useful for calming tension, lifting negative woods and increasing sensuality.

USES- Massage, baths, inhalation.
It is such a potent, sweet smell that it is best used sparingly. A few drops in any massage or bath will soothe away stress, improve your mood and stimulate the senses. Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is one of the best oils for calming and relaxing without sedating.

BLENDS WITH- Jasmine, bergamot, rose, citram.

CAUTION- Ylang ylang essential oil is perfectly safe for home use as long as it is well diluted before application and used in moderation.
